The Perfect Intimate Wedding: Aaron & Jacqueline

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it a thousand times over: I absolutely love small, intimate weddings! I’ve been privileged to be a part of several smaller weddings in the last few years and I’ll have to be honest when I say that they’re sort of my favorite. I love a big wedding, don’t misunderstand me, but there’s just something about a small celebration that really rings home with me! I’ve even written an article on small weddings here on the JTP Blog, and Loverly actually featured it on their wedding blog this spring! Small weddings are awesome.

Enough about small weddings, let’s talk about Aaron and Jacqueline’s celebration!

One of the things that I really enjoyed about Jacqueline, “Jackie,” and Aaron is that they’re 100% enamored with each other, and that was their focus on their wedding day. They weren’t worried about the flowers, the seating arrangement, the guest list or the meal – they were focused on enjoying their day with one another. It was a beautiful thing!

We can all be honest and admit that most of the day we were on edge because of the looming weather Greensboro was set to experience. When I woke up that morning I checked the radar on my phone (as I always do on wedding days) and I was beyond worried. We had a 60% chance of showers beginning about two hours before the ceremony – and it only got worse after that. (Any percentage, no matter how small, of rain on a wedding day is never a good thing) Regardless of the forecast, we did the only thing we could do – go forward as planned! I’m glad to tell you that the wedding took place just as planned and we didn’t see the first rain drop. Cloudy skies and a gentle breeze made the intimate wedding ceremony absolutely perfect.

After photos with each of the guests and the family, Aaron and Jackie spent a few moments with me and my camera before heading to their reception. We created simple, yet stunningly beautiful images! When a couple is focused on taking in every moment of their time together it makes my job so enjoyable, and the photos so unforgettable! We then entered the reception where a delicious meal was served, toasts were given, dances were danced, cake was cut (made by Aaron’s mother), tears of joy were shed and much laughter was heard. Aaron and Jackie were received and celebrated by close friends and family with such love this past Saturday evening! It truly was an elegant, yet intimate evening – just like Aaron and Jackie had dreamed.
