This wedding was a little different for me because I’m related to the couple – that doesn’t happen very often! The groom, Ray, is my uncle… (Well, he was my wife’s uncle first, but now that we’re married I guess I’ll claim him as my own. haha!)
Ray and Lori literally have some of the best family and friends I’ve ever met. I guess I’m a little biased since I married into part of this family, but it really is the truth. Last Saturday I witnessed more people than I can accurately count pitch in and make a wedding come together for two people they love dearly. Lori was one of the most organized and pre-planned brides that I have ever seen, but she still needed help on the day of to make sure she could relax and get ready to marry the man of her dreams. Trust me when I say this, it took a small army to pull things off – but it went smoothly and was more fun that just about anything else you could hope for!
The ceremony was a tear-jerker, first dances were sweet, the cake was delicious and the evening was perfect – just the way Lori and Ray had planned. It was such an honor to not only capture these moments for future generations, but to capture them for *my* family! Photos take on a different light and mean a little bit more when you personally know the people in them. This has been an experience I’ll never forget!
Ray & Lori: I hope y’all are enjoying the last day of your honeymoon in Jamaica! It’s been such an honor to be a big part of your wedding day, and I cannot wait to share the rest of these with y’all ASAP! Heather and I love you both… Welcome to the family, Lori! 🙂
